Students at Hypoxia 2009

Hypoxia welcomes and supports student delegates. Discounted registration, room blocks at discounted rates, and ample recognition as scientists-in-training all contribute to making Hypoxia a great meeting for students from all biomedical fields who are interested in hypoxia.

For 2009 are very pleased to announce that there will be three cash awards for the best scientific abstracts and presentations by graduate students at Hypoxia 2009.

These awards are made possible by donations from the International Hypoxia Symposia, the Sutton Fund from McMaster University, and the White Mountain Research Station, University of California San Diego.

A student who submits an abstract is automatically entered in a competition for these awards. A panel of judges will review the abstracts and visit your posters/presentations during the meeting. The awards will be announced at the evening banquet on Saturday evening.

Thank you for contributing to Hypoxia 2009 and we look forward to seeing you and your presentations in Lake Louise.

Student/Fellowship Discount

To qualify for the student or fellow discount you must fax a letter on Department or School stationary with the signature of the appropriate Dean, Department Chair or other senior administrative faculty stating that you are a student or fellow in the program in good standing.

The letter should be faxed to +1.720.293.7722, Attention: Hypoxia

No discounts will be approved without this letter. Online registrations will be cross-referenced to received letters. Deadline for receipt of letters is 15 November 2006 for early registration, or when you register for late registration.
