Children at Chateau Lake Louise

The Chateau Lake Louise and the Lake Louise ski hill have some excellent children's activities, babysitting services and child care available.

Babysitting Service at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise

While you are enjoying all that The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise has to offer, qualified and reliable babysitters are available to provide childcare.   All our sitters have been carefully screened and undergone the Royal Canadian Mounted Police security check.

  • 24-hour notice to Royal Service is required please call (403) 522-3511 to guarantee a babysitter
  • 24-cancellation policy in effect. Three hour penalty in place if cancelled prior to this time
  • More than four children require two sitters
  • Rates are 12.00/hour up to two children, $13.50 for three and $15.50/hour for four children.

Children's Playroom

In this room, imagination takes flight. This is a place for children to get away from the parents and have fun making crafts, playing games, watch a movie or hang out on our climbing wall.  You must be at least three years old or at least potty trained to be left alone in this staff supervised room.  A nominal fee applies.  Open seven days a week during ski season only.

Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.and Saturday - Sunday 10:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

No reservations are required for kids older than 19 months. Kids under 19 months do require a reservation. Click here for more information.

 

Meal Plan for Children

Please note that children are not automatically included on the meal plan. Children under 5 eat for free at same times as adults at the group dinners, from 5-13 they pay half price for the meal plan, and 13 and above full price. Please advise front desk if you wish to purchase the entire children’s meal plan, or just a specific meal upon check-in. You will be provided with children’s meal tickets and charged accordingly. Also, all hotel restaurants and in-room dining have a child's menu that is quite reasonable in price - should you wish your children to eat at times other than the group meals (i.e. earlier dinner, etc).
